Yinka Shonibare CBE at the Nigerian Pavilion

James Cohan is delighted to announce that Yinka Shonibare CBE will present his work in Nigeria's national pavilion at the 60th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, from April 20 to November 24, 2024. Shonibare will be featured in the group exhibition, titled Nigeria Imaginary, curated by Aindrea Emelife, alongside Tunji Adeniyi-Jones, Ndidi Dike, Onyeka Igwe, Toyin Ojih Odutola, Abraham Oghobase, Precious Okoyomon, and Fatimah Tuggar.

Gallery artists Teresa Margolles and Yinka Shonibare CBE will be featured in the 60th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, curated by Adriano Pedrosa. The exhibition, titled Stranieri Ovunque - Foreigners Everywhere, will take place from April 20 through November 24, 2024 at the Giardini, the Arsenale, and various venues in Venice.
 

Elias Sime: Dichotomy ፊት አና ጀርባ, a Collateral Event of La Biennale di Venezia

Elias Sime: Dichotomy ፊት አና ጀርባ debuts this April with new artworks by the Addis Ababa-based artist, including new wall works, sculpture, and a site-specific installation. On view from April 17 through November 24, 2024 at Tanarte, Castello, the exhibition is an official Collateral Event of the 60th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. Co-curated by the artist’s longtime collaborator Meskerem Assegued and Felicity Korn, curator at the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, Dichotomy ፊት አና ጀርባ illuminates the tenuousness in humanity’s private and public dualities.
