For the 2025 edition of The Armory Show, James Cohan is pleased to present a selection of new work by Kathy Butterly, Alexandre da Cunha, Simon Evans and Sarah Lannan, Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian, Spencer Finch, Michelle Grabner, Trenton Doyle Hancock, Federico Herrero, Yun-Fei Ji, Mernet Larsen, Lee Mullican, Christopher Myers, Jordan Nassar, Tuan Andrew Nguyen, Kaloki Nyamai, Katie Paterson, Naudline Pierre, Shinichi Sawada, Claudia Alarcón and Silät, Elias Sime, Toshiko Takaezu, Alison Elizabeth Taylor, Fred Tomaselli, and Kennedy Yanko.
Alongside the gallery's group presentation at Booth 116, James Cohan will debut a monumental sculptural work by Kennedy Yanko as part of The Armory Show's public sculptural program. Yanko’s latest series is a celebration of the color blue. Steeped in art historical precedent—evoking Picasso’s Blue Period and Yves Klein’s iconic ultramarine—the series explores not only the visual power of the hue, but also its psychological resonances. Suggestive of the ocean’s depth or the intensity of feeling, Because of its blues, 2025, offers a meditation on emotion and the powers of perception.
The fair is open to the public from September 5 through 7, with a VIP Preview day on Thursday, September 4.
