Copyright and permission for use for all photographs are under the auspices of VAGA, New York. All photographic rights are reserved by the Estate of Robert Smithson.
Permission for the use of any photographic materials must be obtained from VAGA, New York.
Photographs are obtained from The Estate of Robert Smithson. The Estate requires that image requests are provided by post, fax, or emailed PDF document on company letterhead. Xerox images of the works being requested for publication must be included. Requests for photographs solely via email enquiry will not be accepted by the Estate.
Photo requests for publication purposes are granted on a case by case basis. Please contact VAGA with a full description (what purpose: publication or academic paper, name of publisher if applicable, how many imprints if applicable). Send photo request correspondence to both VAGA and the Estate of Robert Smithson c/o James Cohan Gallery.
