Please join us for a conversation between artist Yinka Shonibare CBE and curator Donna Honarpisheh on Friday, October 27 at 5 PM. This artist talk will be held in conjunction with Boomerang: Returning to African Abstraction, Yinka Shonibare CBE's eighth solo exhibition with James Cohan on view from October 26 through December 22 at the gallery’s 48 Walker Street location. 

Donna Honarpisheh is Associate Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art and Research at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami, a scholar of Global Modernisms, Postcolonial Studies and Critical Theory, and the host of ICA Miami’s podcast, Tomorrow is the Problem, which covers pressing issues in art and culture. She earned her PhD at UC-Berkeley in Comparative Literature and Critical Theory and has taught undergraduate courses in Global Modernisms at Fordham University, Sarah Lawrence College, and UC-Berkeley.
